SPE2150/1 Bachelor thesis/ Participation, Inclusion and Justice – implications for education and social work


Students who complete the course will gain the following learning outcome:


  • has an in-depth knowledge and understanding of the topic they have chosen as a specialisation


  • is able to critically examine the various facets and implications of disability in light of participation, inclusion and justice

General competence

  • is able to present and discuss the chosen topic both in writing and orally


  • This course invites the students to reflect more in depth on how the interplay between the individual and their surroundings influence participation, inclusion and justice.
  • Students should choose one topic of specialisation. This specialisation should be related to a specific target group, a specific arena in society, or a specific program/intervention.
  • The students should critically examine the various facets and implications of disability.
  • This course gives frames for the bachelor thesis.

Compulsory work requirements:

  • Participation in seminars
  • One oral presentation


Individual academic essay/bachelor thesis of approximately 8.000 words.

The students have the posibility to submit theire thesis in Norwegian.
